When Amy and AJ we decided on a destination wedding, they knew immediately that Costa Rica was the best choice – a beautiful country that they both fell in love with after their first visit. The wedding was rustic chic, full of white shades and leafy greens, neutrals, and natural wood. It was a night of epic party. After some dancing into the night, the bridesmaids were the first to jump into the pool, followed by the groomsmen, followed by pretty much everyone else, including the parents. What a blast! A glimpse of their big day is brought to us by FunkyTown Photography. Enjoy the photos below!
The First Look
Details We Love!
Globe lights and chandeliers add so much magic to an event. They are worth every penny.
Cata from Mil Besos Costa Rica was able to help Amy find many one-of-a-kind crochet doilies to use on the cocktail tables for the event.
The invitations, and signs for the photo booth and desserts were all hand calligraphed by the bride. The macrame photo booth backdrop and fans were also DIY.
The table numbers were designed by Wildblumen Ink.
They capped off the night with lots of laughing, dancing, and singing.
Tips From The Bride
Skip the sweetheart table and do a family table instead so you can enjoy the time with your family and actually get to eat. Bring an extra pair of wedges you don’t care about to walk around in for photos near/in the water.
