Let’s admit it – many brides ruminate the idea of doing a Trash The Dress session. Are you one of them? Yes? No? Well, today’s feature will definitely change your mind! Kaydee and Josh’s underwater photos are breathtaking that every couple would be so jealous of!
Trash the Dress
We Took The Plunge
One way to take your beach wedding to the next level is to take a swim in your wedding dress. This is not for brides who want to preserve their precious dresses as a heirloom for her future daughter. Trash the Dress is often done for a juxtaposition of a formal or elegant ensemble to an eccentric environment. If you are like Teresa who fearlessly jumped, swam, and floated in a pool in her dress then this is right up your alley. And like a great husband, Christopher also went in and joined the fun!
Go With The Waves
The timing on this photo is everything. It added drama to the trashing of the dress. If you plan on getting your dress drenched might as well do it in a most epic way possible. I love the fact that they may have posed for some shots, but it still looked stunning. The sunset, the ocean, and the vibe this couple is giving are well balanced. All the elements this shoot had taken it up a notch. I can’t express myself enough how I love the drama this trash-the-dress shoot has.
Trash the Dress & Suit
Here’s one feature we definitely miss having – trash the dress (and suit) shoots! And what we love about this one is that our couple, Lisa & Ryan, prepped themselves prior to the session and they looked so poised and elegant. There’s this thinking that there’s no need to be made up for this kind of shoot because you are, after all, jumping into the water to have fun, but this coupe ignored that. And thus, what they had was album full of pictures of them having fun and looking good at the same time. Congratulations Lisa & Ryan!
A Very Nautical Day
A very nautical and beach-y wedding that ended up in a fun “trash the dress” shoot. Our couple, Brittney and Wes, really embraced the elements of the location they chose. The beach was credited for the casual vibe throughout the event (“but not too Jimmy Buffett” says the bride) and the yacht where they had the reception was credited for the nautical theme and the color palette. Then afterwards, while the sun is setting, they had a beautiful trash the dress shoot where the bride shared that it can get unbelievably heavy. But hey, the shots turned out to be amazing! Congratulations Brittney & Wes!
