One way to take your beach wedding to the next level is to take a swim in your wedding dress. This is not for brides who want to preserve their precious dresses as a heirloom for her future daughter. Trash the Dress is often done for a juxtaposition of a formal or elegant ensemble to an eccentric environment. If you are like Teresa who fearlessly jumped, swam, and floated in a pool in her dress then this is right up your alley. And like a great husband, Christopher also went in and joined the fun!
Album Story:
Teresa and Christopher had their dream wedding in Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic. The day after the wedding Teresa and Christopher did a trash the dress session that ended up with the two getting into the water by the end of their session.
The Wedding Day Outfits:
It was a beach wedding so their outfits were a little more casual than a traditional wedding. Flip flops in the sand were a must.
Favorite Part Of The Day:
When the couple went into the ocean. That is a true Trash the Dress session in my book!
The Highlights From The Ceremony & Reception:
The ceremony was a beautiful ceremony with the bride and groom, and their closest friends and family. They had 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen that stood up for them. The ceremony took place looking out over the ocean. The couple participated in a sand ceremony,
The Theme:
The ceremony and reception were a typical beach-themed wedding. The ceremony aisle was created with shells on each side and a burlap runner. The chairs all had woven fans and the chairs had sea shells hanging from them. Their reception had floating flowers and candles in water for centerpieces along with starfish. They had a memory table for their loved ones (grandparents) that couldn’t be there to be remembered.
Most Memorable Moment:
I think that their family being involved in the wedding played a big part as well as the sand ceremony.
