The Happiest Tears

What I love the most about this wedding is the groom’s, Adam, reactions upon seeing his bride-to-be. You would think that just because he already shed tears during their “first look” moments, he wouldn’t cry anymore after that. But right when his bride, Lindsay, was walking down the isle towards him, he still had happy tears. I love it when they show uninhibited emotions like that. It makes the day hundred times sweeter. Aside from this, I also love the walkway where the entourage has to walk on during the ceremony. No more worrying about getting sand between your toes. And lastly, I like the sheer floor-length black dresses Lindsay had her bridesmaids wear. Not very beachy if not for the sheer material of it, but it is very chic and it’s something that I’m sure they would use a lot after the wedding itself. Practical am  I right? Anyway, congratulations Lindsay & Adam! And kudos to you Adam, we always swoon over guys who wear their heart on their sleeve.

How did he propose?

Vowing he would marry me one day and after being best of friends for 10 years, Adam indeed delivered the perfect proposal. He took me to Banff for our annual October trip we had been doing for years, we spent the day hiking tunnel mountain (Adam’s favorite spot) and me wondering why on EARTH he wouldn’t even look me in the eyes the entire day, having this panicking fear he was going to end our relationship I was surely mistaken.

After checking into our room at the Rimrock Resort we headed down to the Larkspur lounge to indulge in a couple of martinis, while I was greeted with champagne instead, and Adam down on one knee asking if I would spend the rest of my life with him the only words I could manage to get out were, Adam is this a joke?? He repeatedly told me that he was serious and after we both finished laughing hysterically I said of course I will, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Why we chose Mexico…

Having a destination wedding was something we had both always wanted and knew that when the day came we would be heading to Mexico! Having special place in both of our hearts and visitng multiple times a year we couldn’t have been more excited to have our dream wedding in the sunshine and white sand beaches and of Playa Del Carmen. We were looking for that laid back and casual feel that the ocean and Mexico offer and that’s exactly what received!

Wedding Day

From start to finish the day was flawless, the wedding coordinators at the Grand Sunset were beyond helpful and catered to our every need! The flowers, ceremony, reception set up, dinner and amazing DJ were everything we had hoped for. Having a group of 60 was an easy accommodation for this large scale resort but still offered the intimate private wedding we wanted!
