You’ve heard of packing an emergency kit for weddings that includes essentials to help you survive nearly any disaster, but beach wedding kits should be a little different.
After all, you will be braving mother nature in order to say your vows. Here are the essentials that should be added to any standard wedding emergency kit:
1. Sunscreen
While many brides provide single packets for their guests, you should pack extra in your emergency kit. This way, you’ll have plenty for bridesmaids or groomsmen who forgot, and extra incase you want to reapply.
Be sure to get the highest possible SPF so you can keep your skin glowing and beautiful the way a bride’s should be!
2. Wet Wipes or Moist Towelettes
It’s a beach wedding and if a beach promises one thing, it’s sad. When the ceremony is over and it’s time to dance away the night at your reception, the last thing you’re going to want is sand between your toes, stuck to your legs or anywhere else! Wet wipes will allow you to clean up, even if there are no adequate facilities (a sink or shower) at your venue.
3. Body Lotion
A beach wedding might give you a sun-kissed glow, but it can also be hard on your skin. The sun and salt water can combine to dry your skin and make it quite uncomfortable.
Pack at least a travel-size bottle of your favorite body lotion so you can keep your skin moisturized and soft.
4. Insect Repellent
While you may be lucky enough to have a small breeze that will keep the bugs from swarming, with any outdoor wedding, there should be insect repellent. It’s best to be on the safe side, as the last thing you want is to be swatting bugs all day!
Adding these items to your beach wedding emergency kit can be a serious life saver. Don’t forget all the other essentials, from super glue to bobby pins!
