Lucky is the one who get to marry their best friend. In this case, Eric and Kirby are both lucky to have married each other. Kirby was a stunner in her embroidered lace mermaid dress. Alongside her were her bridesmaids in neutral shades. All was luxurious and elegant at the reception where gold glow to illuminate the couple and their love. It was a day that was warm, elegant, timeless, and fun — all can be seen in the gallery below beautifully shot by their photographer, Dafne Spencer. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Slafky! We wish you all the best.
Album Story:
Two best friends who fell in love and wanted a wedding that reflected their relationship: Timeless, fun, and amazing. We loved how simply elegant our wedding was, with happiness oozing all around us…from guests to every detail… you get warm and happy.
The Theme:
Warm Elegance
The Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Projects:
Our table chart was DIY. We used a bare frame, added foam board as the backing and chose table names that reflected our passions and interest. We used the remaining lace bands from our wedding invitations to add some elegant flare and not let them go to waste. Eric spray painted our cake topper my favorite color, gold.
Wedding Outfit Inspiration:
I wanted an elegant gown with a bit of sass. I loved the details of lace, embroidery, and stones on my dress. I had my ladies all choose a dress of their liking; whatever was in their budget and made them feel amazing. I had no preference, aside from floor length for a bit more of a formal feel. I suggested warm tones like champagne and gold. My husband chose his suit and what all the men would wear. All the guys wore themed socks of a sports team of their liking. The men are all sports fanatics, so this was their personal touch. Eric’s style was a tailored contemporary look.
Favorite Part of the Day:
Every single minute was our favorite. From rooftop breakfast, pampering loved ones all around, and a packed dance floor… every detail was perfection. But my absolute favorite was walking down the aisle and seeing my husband to-be’s handsome stoic face. Eric said his favorite part was seeing me walk out, surrounded by family.
The Highlights from the Ceremony & Reception:
A highlight while reading our written vows, was that Eric and I both referred to each other as being best friends and each others number one fan. Eric and I enjoyed life and loved dancing the night away with our fun loving family and friends. The toasts from my MOH’s made me cry, and the toast from Eric’s brother (best man) made everyone laugh.
Most Memorable Moment:
Eric getting choked up and I was dying the whole time, moved by how happy we both were.
