It was raining on Nicole and Chris’ vintage chic wedding yet everybody is enjoying every single drop of it.. There were oodles of DIY’s everywhere and mind you, Nicole did almost all of it (Hooray for DIY’s!). We’ve got some crafty-bride over here! Woot! There were tons of hand-painted wood signs all over which were a two thumbs-up for me. What I really liked were the assorted table centerpieces of flower-filled colored bottles and mason jars set on doilies — it was simple as it was creative. The sweet sea breeze was felt throughout the day and I’m pretty sure that moment will linger on to their memories. May you have more happy moments like this, sweet peas!
The Album Story
Nicole and Chris met in a local bar while Nicole was on vacation. They dated long distance for 10 months until Nicole moved to Fort Myers to be with Chris. Chris proposed in that same bar on Christmas eve and serenaded Nicole to Bruno Mars “Just the way you are”. They decided upon a beach wedding at Lover’s Key State park. Nicole went Pinterest crazy and designed and made all of the details herself.
The Theme
Vintage Chic was everywhere. Natural hand painted wood signs and lots of lace and pictures frames completed the look.
Wedding Outfit Inspiration
The Bride wanted a vintage look. She loved the suspender look and picked the guys outfits so they would be cool and comfortable on the beach. Nicole’s 10 Bridesmaids lived in different states and she knew it would be so hard for them all to be in the same dress so she picked a color and let them pick their own dresses.
The Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Projects
There were tons and tons of details everywhere. Lots of vintage colorful picture frames and signs adorned the entire area. There were mason jar and vintage bottles for the centerpieces and each table was slightly different.
Highlights From the Ceremony and the Reception
At the beginning of the ceremony they had the minister blow a Conch horn to signal the groom. Chris came running high living and everyone was cheering. It was raining during the ceremony and nobody even cared. Nicole and Chris were laughing and crying the entire ceremony.
The guests danced the night away under the gazebo and the Bride sang her favorite song “Push it” by Salt and Pepper to the groom. It was such a high energy day that I will never forget.
A Memorable Moment
I think the entire day was so memorable for the bride and groom but especially the ceremony as it was so personal and emotional.
