Gregory and Jessika are native San Diegans and got married on the Star of India, a well known San Diego icon. The wedding had a very casual nautical theme on the oldest operational tall ship in the world and catered the best of food and wine for everyone at The Wine Vault and Bistro. Let us take a peek on the beautiful parts of the wedding brought to us by Jen with Pink Light Images!
Extra Special Details
The music and the vows. A selection of the couple’s favorite music versus the traditional wedding ceremony ballads were played. They personally wrote their vows and allowed their officiate to select few readings on love and marriage.
The champagne hour on the boat. It is where Gregory and Jessika mingled with their guests, friends, and family and have captured beautiful photos together.
The second cocktail hour. There were tray passed appetizers and have moved onto the five course menu that was paired with wine and spirits at the wedding reception.
The ambiance. Very simple yet romantic and was fascinating with its white added theme.
The all night dine. With family and friends, speeches were delivered before the dessert. With English and Spanish cover songs playing, warm and sweet words flooded their hearts!
Tips from the Bride
“Do not get talked into adding things that are not important to you and your significant other on your special day. If you don’t want to follow all the traditions, don’t feel bad. I know people often say weddings are not for you, they are for your friends and family to enjoy…NOT TRUE! We loved every minute of our wedding and that is because we did what we wanted. All of our guests had a great time and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. It’s the first day of your new lives together, it should be about the two of you.”
