Hey, ladies! This fun and laid-back destination wedding is one tropical delight! The featured couple – Jordan and Ashley, decided on a clean, simple and modern color palette with a tropical touch, so it wouldn’t be competing with how vibrant the colors of Sayulita, Mexico. They wanted to keep things local, so they had vendors who know the destination and the best that it could offer, creating a super fun environment for the guests which ended as a wonderful party. But that’s not the only thing that’s inspiring about today’s feature! They also made welcome beach bag for each of the guests, fully equipped with an obnoxiously tacky yet so amazing personalized tank top with their wedding hashtag, a pair of vibrant Sayulita sunglasses and a fun little map to help guests get acquainted with the location and all it’s festivities. Thank you Dekker Photography for these snaps! Scroll down and check them out below. Enjoy!
We’re All About the Details
The bride’s first inspiration actually came from a set of napkins she found at Target! As she shares,
The napkins that I found provided everything I was looking for – clean and modern geometric lines, fun but subtle patterns, and a nice pop of color amongst the simple whites and grays that I wanted to incorporate on the tablescape.
The mix of blues really provided the hint of the beachy vibe that they were looking for without it being too over the top.
The Wardrobe
The bride is wearing a strapless dress with a sweetheart neck and a very structured bodice cut from Sarah Seven. The off white lace was just simply beautiful and just the perfect amount of sexiness and class which made the bride feel so beautiful inside and out.
The Floral Arrangements
Their florist Mireya from Flormimo was a true delight creating some of the most beautiful floral arrangements we have seen – especially the bouquet! She incorporated the tropical touch into the bouquets as well as on the tables.
Mireya executed different types of white florals with vibrant pops of green throughout the table. It was simply perfect! They had a super fun idea having a jenga game used as their guestbook, with the guests signing the pieces. A modern twist to this wonderful traditional Mexican wedding.
The Invites & Decorations
They had their tropical invitation crafted by Aerialist Press that shows the simple style that they need. They also incorporated individualized menus on the table to make each guest feel special designed with fun beachy colors and similar geometric lines to tie in with the tablescapes.
The Villa
The Villa Amor is located in a hillside overlooking the beach. This upscale, rustic hotel is centered in a collection of thatched-roof villas that looks so beautiful.
The Festive Cake
Staying with the mexican tradition, this festive cake is a classic addition to any Mexican celebration.
The Ceremony
Set alongside the gorgeous Sayulita cliff of Mexico, their ceremony is as majestic as the venue set behind them.
