Into The Middle Of The Caribbean Sea

Tropical climate, salty air, cool and clear waters – imagine having hours to spend in probably the world’s most beautiful island, Curacao! For Becca and Justin, it was something they’d cherish for the rest of their lives. They said their vows there! Not only that, they jumped out of the boat in their formal wear and took awesome underwater shots. For their photographer, RKH Images, it was a dream come true! Scroll down to see amazing their amazing underwater photos and read on as the bride shares the intimate details of this special cruise!

Extra Special Details

Our wedding was the best of both worlds, as it combined an amazing vacation with wonderful friends, as well as a reception back home. We were able to spend and play an entire week with our closest friends and family, without cellphone, work or other interruptions! Our guests were able to have experiences in Curacao they may never have gotten to do in a lifetime, or ever do again. The crew of the sailboat we got married on let our guests help them put the sails up, we got to see shipwrecks, turtles, coral and go cliff diving. It was a very special, memorable week for all.

The Bride’s Advice

♥ A destination wedding can be affordable! Many places take care of all the details for you, and can be much more simple than a traditional wedding. Our reception was double the cost of our whole week down in Curacao. Plus, when the ocean is your ‘decoration,’ it takes the guesswork out for those who don’t enjoy planning all the details.

♥ My biggest piece of advise: figure out what you as a couple want for your day in the beginning, and stick to it. Not everyone will be happy with your choices, but you may never be able to please everyone. People will get over it, especially when they see how spectacular everything is and that you’re happy. ENJOY the process and the beautiful day that celebrates your life together.
