Asking for someone’s hand in marriage is definitely a big thing! No wonder Mike, our future groom, did everything he can to make his Sullivan Island picnic proposal perfect and meaningful. I must say, he stepped the proposal game up a notch! Mike contacted Propose Charleston to help him execute his plan. So, here’s what happened: Mike asked Britt for a lunch date at The Obstinate Daughter. Before that, he said he “wanted to take a walk on the beach” with their lovable dog Woodford. The walk then led them to the picnic set – complete with plates navy and blue elements (these colors are Britt’s favorites) and a driftwood backdrop. The florals also complemented the set. Eventually, Mike got down on bended knee, surprising the love of her love. Jen Keys Photography captured everything! To other grooms reading this, that’s how you pull off a memorable proposal! No pressure though. Bear in mind that it’s always about the love you put into planning and the excitement of having a life together with your love!

I like how simple his distraction was, plans for lunch turned into a picnic proposal.
