Marissa, an accomplished equestrian had her photo taken (by the photographer she had on her wedding day) together with her horses and when Jeffrey saw Marissa’s picture it was serendipitous. Who would’ve thought the pretty girl she saw in that photo was someone he used to go to high school. How amazing is that? Speaking of amazing their wedding had me swooning in romance and beauty with an equestrian twist. See for yourself below!
Favorite Part of the Day:
As a husband and wife photography team, our favorite part of the day is always when the couple first sees each other. The look of elation on Jeff’s face and Marissa’s tears of joy falling as she walked down the aisle blew us away. Emotional. Powerful. And we feel grateful to have witnessed it.
The Theme:
Sea & Stable or Beach Themed Equestrian Marissa and Jeff were both born and raised at the Jersey Shore so it was a no-brainer that it served as the backdrop for their day. Marissa is also an accomplished equestrian and incorporated horse-styled elements throughout their day. A unique twist for a unique couple!
The Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Projects:
Marissa made the table numbers by printing the names of famous race horses and placing them in wine bottles. Marissa’s stepmother helped her create the wedding favor boxes emblazoned with the couple’s initial along with horseshoe and handcuff charms placed on top. Each box was filled with Hershey kisses.
The Highlights From The Ceremony & Reception:
The biggest highlight from the ceremony (aside from the couple’s first look at each other) was, undoubtedly the moment their beautiful daughter, Annabella, walked down the aisle pushing a toy elephant with a special sign that said, “Here Comes my Mommy the Bride,” accompanied by Marissa’s cute little nieces. Annabella’s smile lit up the entire room. And when Marissa and Jeff made their way down the aisle as a married couple with Annabella in tow, it was absolutely perfect. After their couples portraits, we took the couple next door to one of their favorite date-night spots and got some photos with the crowd by the waterfront bar! Super fun. Another great moment was the reception entrance. Marissa surprised Jeff by putting on her riding boots, grabbing a whip and jumping on his back. Jeff wore his Dallas Cowboy’s Jersey so the guests went wild clapping! A Cowboy and his forever Cowgirl.
Most Memorable Moment:
Without a doubt the moment Marissa and Jeff first saw each other as well as when their daughter walked down the aisle toward them, and the moment they recessed as a married couple with their daughter.
