Lots of special custom details flooded Lauren and Kyle’s wedding at Carlouel Yacht Club. The whole preparation was an intimate family succession of efforts and it turned out to be so full of fun and love! Extra-Special Details
The wedding gown. Lauren’s light and flowy gown was custom ordered from Australia and was perfect for the beach.
The DIY projects. The bride’s mom made all the hangers for the dresses and the letter H with seashells from the beach where the bride grew up.
The beach ceremony. There was a place for everyone to leave their shoes and decorations of simple palm leaves were there, and sunglasses for their guests.
A steel drummer played as everyone got seated for the ceremony.
The brother-in-law, aunt and cousin. The one who officiated the ceremony was Lauren’s brother-in-law and her aunt and cousin played soulfully “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” on the ukulele.
The cake. The couple met in Chicago so their cake had a Chicago Bears symbol surrounded by mini key lime pies.
