Jason and Elizabeth tied the knot (pun totally intended) 6 months ago with a nautical themed wedding. The couple had quite a dainty twist on the nautical digs. There was a lot of amazing DIY stuff on their big day. I especially adore how their color scheme made everything so subtle and sweet. Definitely a source of inspiration for all brides-to-be!
Extra Special Details
The DIYs. Elizabeth and Jason had some great DIYs for their wedding and, of course, they couldn’t achieve it without the help of each other and some creative family members!
- The table runners. Elizabeth’s mother and grandmother handmade the table runners!
- Mason jars. Elizabeth’s grandfather made the mason jars hanging from Shepard’s hooks.
- The favors. The couple had sand dollar cookies as their favors. They were baked by her mother and best friend (talk about awesome helping hand!).
- The signs. The couple, Jason and Elizabeth, did the signs for their wedding venue (hands on!) — from cutting, staining, sanding, painting in their driveway.
The color palette. Navy and sky. Best represents the nautical and rustic theme they had!
The theme. Jason and Elizabeth went for a nautical theme because the beach has something significant to the time they first met.
The location. The ceremony was on a lawn overlooking the marina boat slip near The Beach House restaurant.

- Make sure not to settle for certain items you truly want you cannot get the day back. In the end those details matter!
- Take care of your guests. For us, it made us worry less being we knew everyone was taken care of. We had guests from all corners of the country that made that trip we wanted to make sure through taking care of them that we were grateful for their love and support during such a special time in our lives. All of the guests loved the trolley services, plus it provided us great photos ops!
