The Dream Destination
Costa Rica first came on the radar for Megan in 2004 when she visited with her high school rotary club. They came to donate and deliver wheelchairs to schools and families in small towns throughout Costa Rica. She left the country enamored with the people, the culture, the pace of life, and, of course, the rainforest. Ever since she came she’d wanted to return and mentioned that she wanted to take Anthony to visit several times throughout their relationship. They decided to visit and see if there might be a venue possibility for their wedding. It was love at first sight when they arrived at the lobby of Arenas del Mar. Without even seeing the beach or the rest of the hotel, they knew this was the perfect spot for them.
The Beach Ceremony
Arenas del Mar has a lovely, private beach for its guests. This is an amazing spot for weddings and such a joy to photograph there. Megan and Anthony added their unique touch by having a circular arbor of greenery. This perfectly framed the pair during their lovely ceremony. Truly a beautiful wedding in Costa Rica.
The Beach Wedding Reception
A beach reception feels like a late-night beach party, but you need to know how to dress it up. And Karen the wedding planner definitely knew how to dress up their beach reception. The wooden tables and chairs set the stage and the quaint dessert cart was a nice touch. What really decked out the party, however, was the tent covered in hundreds of tiny little lights. They added a special glow to the reception that was simply stunning.
