All White Glamour

This all white wedding by the beach looked so glam and beautiful. Matched with elegant details such as the tall table centerpiece and their multi-tiered cake (in all white too, of course), it definitely became an album we looked forward to sharing with you. Another thing we loved was our bride’s lovely wedding gown, it looked so amazing on her! We’re grateful for her not only because her and her beau concocted up this perfect day, but also because she shared with us too her insights on how to achieve it. Congratulations on your wedding, Rosalia & Javier!

Bride

What is the overall story for this album?

Just a love story of two who turned puppy love into an unbreakable passionate life long companionship! 10 years together and counting! Our original plan was a destination wedding with a few family and friends. Quickly, we realized we wanted to share our wedding with more than just a few, so with the help of our amazing venue and vendors, we brought the destination wedding home with palm trees in New England! We spent the night dancing away to our roots -Italian and Puerto Rican tunes – oh and of course, lots of, Michael Buble! with all of our family and friends!

What inspired the wedding day outfits?

We wanted our wedding day attire to reflect upon our personal style as a couple – romantic, classy and glamorous! We agreed to go big! Therefore, I wanted a flirty and form fitting silhouette. My gown was just what I
had been looking for! It had embroidered lace and elegantly sculptured tulle. I paired my gown up with a nude pair of Christian Louboutin heels. We saved up for those! For the bridesmaids, we chose light colored, soft and
flowy lux chiffon evening gowns. The groom and groomsmen wore slim fit Vera Wang tuxedos. We loved our attire!

What was your favorite part of the day?

Our favorite parts of the day were the opportunities we had to step away from our family and friends and head out for some sexy shots with our photographer! This allowed us to spend a moment together as husband and
wife – fun and flirty – away from it all – breathing in the beach air – gazing into each others eyes while whispering sweet words. Some of our favorite photos happened in this time away!

Was there any Do it Yourself (DIY) projects? If so, can you describe them in detail?

I am a bit over the top – I can say it! I asked Javier to help me with a huge project and turns out he was better at it than me! (Can’t believe I just admitted that). He was amazing. Javier folded 200 white cloth napkins that were
placed on each guests place setting into roses! We then pinned small green ‘leaves’ to the roses. So many of our guests didn’t want to use their napkins and asked if they could take them home! I loved them! Also, with the help
of amazing and handy father, we created our card box. My father built and painted the box white. I then took over with embellishing thin wooden letters “Mr & Mrs” with pearls and rhinestones. I also sketched out the guest table centerpieces and bridesmaids bouquets / groomsmen boutonnieres – brought my sketches to my Florist and Bakery and they turned my sketches into a reality! Centerpieces were large ivory hydrangea balls placed on top of tall cylindrical vases with hanging crystals. The bridesmaids bouquets were medium hand tied blush hydrangea balls wrapped with pewter ribbon. My bouquet was a large hand tied with ivory roses and white phaleonopsis embellished with crystals and tied with rhinestone band. Our baker created my vision for an all white tall five tiered cake layers separated by white roses and lined with crystals!

What were the highlights from the ceremony & reception?

The highlight of the ceremony would have to have been walking arm in arm with my father and laying eyes on my man standing at the gazebo! We had a lovely ‘hands’ ceremony in addition to the traditional wedding
ceremony. The highlights of our reception were our first and last dances together as husband and wife. For our first dance, we danced over Michael Buble’s – Close Your Eyes. We pre-recorded our vows in private weeks before the wedding and they played over the introduction of the song. We did not hear each others recording prior to our first dance. It was so lovely! While our last song played – it SNOWED in our venue! We danced to Vanessa Williams – Save the Best for Last. Our wedding was in June and it snowed! Like in the song!

Was there a theme for the ceremony and reception?

All white with hints of sparkling crystals/rhinestones – timeless, classic and glamorous!

What part of the ceremonies do you think was the most memorable for the bride and groom?

Our first dance – dancing over our pre recorded vows as mentioned above – was the most memorable for us both. It made our first dance absolutely unforgettable. We could not have made a better decision.

Anything else you would like to add ?

Our advice to future brides & grooms – enjoy every minute of the planning and your special day. If you both want to be over the top and have a five foot tall cake with one hundred roses, plan for it, budget for it, and get it! If you don’t want a cake at all – then don’t have one! I think you get what I mean! This is your day and only yours. Spend it how you want and with who you want. Be fabulous! Be you! Be in love!
