This is not your typical beach wedding. From the couples’ story, Alyse and her family are from Florida via Canada. The couple wanted to bring their family from Canada and all over the United States to experience the the Florida coast which holds a special place in their heart. Having a wedding ceremony truly means a lot more than the expenses and stress, theirs is an inspiring story that entails relationships are far more important and can instantly light up a special day that is one for the books. Extra Special Details

❤ Having our friends and family in a place we love! When we have a completely free day, we love to drive to Amelia island with our dog, a picnic lunch, and lounging on beach chairs! We usually head from the beach to the Omni marsh view bar and grill.

❤ The BAND! We chose the Atlanta wedding band, they had everyone on the dance floor! I remember looking up from my dinner and realizing they were singing, I thought it was recorded music! They were the best!

❤ Having our grandmothers there to be part of our special day is huge for us.

❤ Watching (and not worrying) as my sweet niece and nephew walked and ran down the aisle! I will cherish that memory forever. They made us all laugh and I wouldn’t change a thing!

Tips From The Bride

❤ Sit back and enjoy the planning process, it should be fun! How many other times in life do we get to choose what other people wear and how tables are decorated! I thought shopping around etsy and looking on Pinterest was really enjoyable!

❤ Hire a wedding planner! My planner, Cortney Jackson took care of so many things that allowed me to have a stress free wedding weekend, she was a dream to work with!

❤ Find a photographer and review his or her work. These pictures of one of the biggest days of your life are going to be documented, shown to your kids, grandkids and so on! I chose to work with Dan Watson after he photographed my sister’s wedding! The way he captured our wedding weekend has me looking at the pictures daily and appreciating the wonderful friends and family we had with us celebrating.
