I love photos of people that contain elements that give a shout-out to who they are and what they like. Kara and Dennis are an outgoing couple who loves to play baseball and go to the beach. So for their engagement shoot, it’s perfect that they took photos in the ballpark and then made their way to the beach. All the while, they shared hearty laughs and loving gazes with each other. They look so much at ease with each other; it’s like their photographer just happened to be there to capture these sweet photos — and did an amazing job, too! Kudos to the photographer and best wishes to the happy couple!
About The Engagement Shoot:
Kara and Dennis do not live on Cape Cod so we wanted to photograph in gorgeous locations, but those that also reflected who they are as a couple.
The Location:
They really wanted to photograph at the Chatham Anglers Field in Chatham, MA. They play baseball/softball and they wanted to incorporate the field – so we waited until one game was over and snuck on just before the next game. Down the road after a short drive is the popular Chatham Lighthouse which is a destination photo op and right across the street is a beautiful beach overlooking the ocean. Very Cape Cod.
The Outfits:
Kara and Dennis wanted to be casual especially with adding the baseball play into the session. So we kept their outfits true to them.
Just Relax:
I always bring out the laughter – even if it means acting ridiculous yourself. Once your client laughs they completely relax and the posing and expressions are beautiful and realistic. I always let them know that it is always awkward at first, but then after fie minutes they will get really into it and sometimes forget that I am there. Happens every time!
