Engagement sessions are usually the first professional shoot a couple will have in their lifetimes so it’s only normal for them to feel uneasy at first. This is where two things come in handy – a really supportive photographer and the constant reminder that you’re posing around with the love of your life. If you put them together, add some beautiful locations and dramatic lighting, and you’ll have the perfect album! Just like our couple, Kelsey & Aj, had with their engagement shoot. The beach, the sunset, their photographer’s direction, and of course, their love for each other, made everything look so light and natural. Congratulations to you two!!
Outdoors
Going around Boston
For this couple’s engagement session, they went all around the city where their love story began – Boston. It’s fortunate that this place has so much to offer when it comes to scenic views. They went around parks, historic alleys, beaches, and cityscapes while their photographer captures their adorable and romantic poses together. I just love variety when it comes to engagement shoot backdrops and this feature definitely provided us with some. Congratulations Kent & Oanh!
From a Beautiful Maple Box
At first look, you’d think this engagement session was just a simple outdoors shoot between two lovely people. But after reading their photographer’s tell all story about them, you’d then see that this album is full of sentimental meaning. The venues they chose were somewhat reminiscent of the place where our groom, Nick, proposed. And speaking of, they also brought the maple box where he put the ring in when he decided to pop the question. What a beautiful idea! And lastly, the bouquet hit two birds – it was a nice pop of color for this session and it represents to color theme this couple will have on their wedding day. Congratulations Nick & Megan!
Turquoise and Pink – A Lovely Mix
I just love the combination of pink, turquoise, and white – specially now that I’ve seen it in a wedding. You can never go wrong with this palette and I think, it goes really well with an outdoor setting. It’s not exactly the most nature-y of colors so seeing it adorned with all the greens and sky blues makes it really pop out. But aside from this amazing color choice, this wedding is really nicely decorated. It wasn’t overwhelming and the amount of details and designs were just adequate for this beautiful day. Congratulations Emily & Craig!
A Lovely Cause, a Beautiful Beginning
We usually encounter couples that are brought together by a common acquaintance, workplace, or even, common schools, so our featured couple today, who was brought together by a common cause, is a bit rare to our books and we’re very glad to chance upon them both. Nicole and Derek shares a common advocacy towards the misunderstood pit bulls. It was their love for this amazing breed that gave them the opportunity to meet and one day become husband and wife. I believe reasons like this [shared principles] is one of the best foundations for love. But moving on to their beautiful DIY wedding, it was such a well planned and decorated event. And if you want to know more about it, our bride gave us the complete account on her wedding projects. And speaking of, in behalf of all the future DIY brides, we thank you Nicole! And truly, it was a perfect day that was brought upon in the beginning by a beautiful cause. Congratulations Nicole & Derek!
